Meet the Humans
Get to know the BaristaCats Management team
Jaimee runs the front of house and manages the day-to-day operations of the café.
Marketing & Events Manager
Faith-Ashleigh is responsible for all marketing and social media activities of the business as well as managing special events. She has been working at BaristaCats since April 2016 and feels extremely excited to be given this opportunity to provide a home for rescue cats and cat lovers alike. When she is not thinking up cat puns and getting the word out about Auckland’s Central Cat Café, she is a doting cat mum to her four fur babies and also works in the performing arts industry.
Tech & Operations Support Manager
Shane provides support in various aspects of the café's operations from maintenance to customer service, ensuring guests are looked after, everything is ticking along smoothly and the space is looking great. His day job is in communications in the public sector but he enjoys getting creative through crafting bespoke creations for the cats and the café.
And the one who started it all...
Julia Whitehead, an insurance lawyer by trade, founded BaristaCats Café after she fell in love with cat cafés on a trip to Thailand in 2015. In late 2017, she decided to take a step back from the day-to-day running of the café to focus on her legal career. She remains involved in the business as an advisor.
